Kia is a business-oriented lawyer, and she approaches assignments in a practical manner, considering the client’s objectives. Before joining Inventio, Kia worked at a Finnish law firm specialising in business law and, prior to that, as an in-house lawyer at an international company. Kia is also studying for a master’s degree in business administration at the Hanken School of Economics, focusing on strategic corporate responsibility issues in business management.

Kia’s key areas of expertise are corporate law and contract law. Kia assists clients throughout the entire lifecycle of a company, from incorporation to the planning of corporate structures, the preparation of general meetings, shareholders’ agreements and matters relating to various corporate transactions. She also advises clients on matters relating to the governance and decision-making of companies. In the field of commercial contracts, Kia drafts, reviews and negotiates a wide range of commercial contracts, such as supply, cooperation, distribution and service agreements. Kia also has expertise in contracts within the IT sector and data protection matters.

Corporate sustainability and ESG (environmental, social and governance) are becoming an increasingly central part of corporate strategy and decision-making, and the related regulatory framework is evolving rapidly. Kia assists clients in taking their sustainability commitments and sustainable development into account as part of corporate governance, contract negotiations and corporate transactions. She actively monitors developments in ESG regulation and helps clients identify both the risks associated with regulation and the business opportunities offered by corporate sustainability.
