We advise companies on matters relating to property, business interruption and liability insurance, such as assessing the scope of insurance cover, interpreting insurance terms and conditions, and managing claims processes. In addition, we assist companies with matters relating to tort law and associated disputes, where key issues may include, for example, contractual liability, damages, allocation of liability and the grounds for liability.

Our attorneys have special expertise in tort law issues in construction and contracting sectors, including the insurance cover required under the YSE 1998 terms, as well as related issues concerning the duty to insure, the allocation of liability and the allocation of risks.

We also assist international companies with insurance and tort law issues relating to their operations in Finland. Our areas of expertise include insurance law issues relating to international companies’ strategic projects, such as real estate arrangements, investments and large-scale construction projects.
